It's been a very long time i did not update my blog. Why? hehehe.. One of the reason is because i'm lazy, and the other reason is because i don't know what to write.

Well.. Classes have started as usual like last year.. But, this time, i feel the classes are not as packed as last time.. Hmmm.. Maybe because i only have 3 units which has lecture and tutorial.. And every week, i get to enjoy loong weekend because i don't have class on friday and monday. However, this year i'll be undergoing my final year project. Everytime have to meet the client for discussion. Haiz..

Let see the fun side during the month of March.. *trace back* hmm.. nothing much except attending lectures and tutorials. Oh ya, GENTING. Me, Chin Kwok, You Kong, Jason, Nic and Shuang went to Genting past 2 weekends ago.. I think now is too late to talk about this, but, haikss, just continue.. Stayed there for 1 night at Theme Park Hotel. This is the first time i stay at that hotel. The room is quite ok and is definately much bigger than First World Hotel. Reach Genting at about 10 something in the morning. We leave our luagage at the hotel lobby and went to enjoy ourself at the theme park. Play play play until 12 something in the afternoon and went for lunch at First World Plaza. After lunch, we continue to play play play until 3 something. Its time for us to check-in into our room at this hour. Waited for like almost half an hour and finally we got our room. Rest in the room for a while and about 5, we continue to play play play till around 8. Then we had our dinner. Oh ya, that day is Earth Hour too.. But Genting lights still on as bright as day time.. Only a few shops, restaurants and cafes off its lights. During Earth Hour, we went to had some drinks at Starbucks because they are having promotion during that hour. At around 9.30, we went back to our room to get some rest and shower at the same time. By 11 in the night, we went to play play and play until the very last minutes before the theme park closed at 1am. After that, we hang around, take some photos and we manage to play pool. We went back to our room at around 3am and sleep till the morning. The next day, after everyone get themself prepared, we head to the cable car station and get a bus back to KL. At KL, we had our lunch at Petaling Street and head back home after that. *Pictures taken during Genting Trip can be found at Li Shuang Facebook, i lazy to upload here*

Whats next??? Hmmm.. Jogoya!!! Finally i had a chance to visit Jogoya.. This is because i had vouchers for it and therefore i can get half price for each person. Got 4 vouchers and we will be going there this saturday.. Can't wait for the day to come!!.. Hehehehe..

Hello everyone!! Its been a long long time i have not updating this blog. This because i have nothing write and due to laziness. Anyway, lets get back to the topic.

I just came back from Penang trip with my family. This is the 3rd time i went to Penang in year 2008. However, the main purpose we went to there is to attend a wedding dinner. However, this time, we are not staying in Penang island but in Kulim, Kedah. This is because the wedding dinner was held there.

We booked hotel rooms in the club house. The club house was huge. There was 10 badminton courts, 2 basketball court, one indoor and the other one outdoor. There was also an Olympic size swimming pool. We stayed there for 3 nights.

On the first day, while on the way to Kulim, we stopped by at Ipoh to have breakfast. We went to the famous Ipoh Old town coffee shop. Over there, they are famous for their white coffee and toast bread. The curry mee and Choo Cheug Fun there not bad too.

Above the is pictures of the coffee shop. After breakfast, we head to caves or "tung" in Ipoh.

After visiting all the "tung"s, we continue our journey to Kulim. We reached Kulim at about 3 something and straight away head to our relative house.

Spend the whole evening. At night, we went to Bukit Mertajam for dinner. The next day, we went to Penang island and spend the whole day there. Over there, we also visit relatives who live there. Here are the photos

3rd Day
In the morning, after breakfast in Kulim, we went to Alor Setar, capital of Kedah state. Over there, we went to visit Muzium Padi. Over there, there is a huge painting which was painted by 16 Korean painter. The picture was huge and beautiful. Here are the pictures

Quarantine

Today, i went to watch a horror movie in Sunway Pyramid, Quarantine.

Here is the synopsis about this movie:-

Angela is a young reporter for a local TV channel and goes around with her cameraman every night in search of different collectives of people. Tonight they'll be covering the local firemen and she secretly hopes for an opportunity to capture the story of a great fire. But the night remains very calm. When they finally receive a call from the landlord of an apartment building where an old lady is trapped inside her house, she has no other choice but to follow the firemen and cover their rescue mission. When they arrive, the see that the neighbors in the old lady's building are very frightened. They have been hearing horrifying screams from inside the old lady's apartment The firemen break down the door of the apartment and are followed by Angela and her cameraman. They find the old lady semi-conscious and foaming at the mouth. Suddenly, the old lady jumps on an officer and starts to bite him like a wild animal right in front of the camera lens. Its just the beginning of a long nightmare and of a unique and terrifying report never before seen on TV. When one of the fireman and the other officer take away their wounded colleague, they discover that the only exit in the entire building has been blocked by the authorities. The building has been quarantined. Apparently, a strange virus has spread inside the building. The fire squad, the neighbors and the TV crew are stuck inside the building, where new victims are slowly becoming infected due to the propagating virus. Its turning them into vicious, bloodthirsty beings. The key to everything seems to lie in one of the apartments, only there are less and less sane people left and time is running out

Angela and her cameraman finally have the opportunity of a lifetime to cover the most important report of their careers but, what price will they have to pay in order to record it all on camera?

Overall, the movie is okay. I would give the movie 6/10.

Food Paradise

Hello people!! I just came back from Penang a couple days ago. The trip started on the 16 November 2008, Sunday. We depart at 7 am and reached Penang about 11 something. On the first day, we did not do much things except window shopping at Queensbay mall in the night.

Day 2

In the morning, we went to Air Itam market to have food which could not be found in KL. Kiuh Chiap (i'm not too sure about the spelling). It is a must to eat this when you go to Penang.

After that, in the afternoon, we went to a food court which located in Georgetown to have our lunch. There is a stall famous in selling Beef Keoy Theow Noodles. Later, we visit the Sleeping Buddha Temple to pray for luck, love, health and everything else. In the night, we thought of going to Gurney Drive but there was heavy downpour. In the end, we went to Tesco to have McDonalds.

Day 3

In the morning, we went to have breakfast somewhere in Greenlane, opposite Lam Wah Ee hospital. Then, we proceeded to Penang Hill. However, we managed to went up to middle of the hill because the track was under construction. In the Penang Hill, we meet Li Shuang with her family. After that, we went back home together then we went to Gold Coast Resort to swim. In the night, we went to Pasar Malam in Batu Ferringgi, Gurney Drive and Li Shuang's hotel room to play cards.

Day 4

In the morning, we went to Lorong Selamat to have Char Keoy Theow. However, when we sat in the coffee shop, there were no one serve us. Therefore, we went to another coffee shop to have our breakfast. After that, we fetched Li Shuang and we went to Gurney Plaza. Overthere, we went to Redbox and shopping. In the night, went to Li Shuang's room to play cards. After that, her brother brought us to the hotel lounge to have some drinks.

Day 5

Last Day in Penang. In the morning, packed our stuff and get ready back to KL. Before leaving the Island, we went to buy biscuit from Him Heang then have famous Penang Mee Goreng in Bangkok Lane. After that, we left the Island by taking feri. Then, we stopped by at Ipoh to have Ipoh's famous chicken rice. At around 7 something in the evening, we reached KL.

It is already 1 week that my holiday started.. Thought of looking for a part-time job but there is no company would want to hire for only a month.. Nothing much happen during the week except those 2 previous post..

Less than a month, Summer Course will commence:-

Period: 7 weeks (9 December 2008 - 22 January 2009)

After summer course, another month of holidays.. Waliao.. So many holidays... Die lor.. Really growing mushroom at home..

Ok. Let's start..

Friday, 7 November 2008. Me, Li Shuang, Chee Phin, Nick and Chin Kwok went to Red Box Karaoke at The Gardens, Mid Valley. Long time i did not go to karaoke.. Hmmm.. I think is almost 2 years ago.. Well, this Red Box at The Gardens is newly open. We reach the around 4 something.. It is always so hard to find parking at Mid Valley. Enter Red Box at 4.30pm and we scream, shout and sing until around 7.30pm.. After that, we went to shopping..

At around 9.30 like tat, we went to Murni to have our dinner. what a late dinner! It is also difficult to find parking in SS2, PJ. Over there, i kena 'slash' by an Indian guy by asking me for parking fees. The fees is RM4.. So expensive!! After having dinner, we went home.. Reached home at around 12 something..

Exercise Marathon (Bukit Gasing ---> Swimming)

Is almost a week since my last exam paper.. Nothing much happen during the week. Today, 9 November 2008, Sunday. Me, Li Shuang, Chin Kwok, Nick, Keat Ming and You Kong took the initiative to do morning exercise. Sharp, 7.30 am, i pick up Keat Ming and You Kong. Then proceed to the E's(Nick) hse. After that, Chin Kwok and lastly our princess Li Shuang. We reached Bukit Gasing at around 8 something where the sun is already hot like mad!

This time, we took the different route than the usual route that we used to walk. I dunno what happen to me this time. Usually, i go to climb Bukit Gasing, i won't take a sit. However, this time, i had to sit half way because i felt like fainting and vomiting. Hmm.. Maybe because i didn't have anything in the morning not even a drop a water. Moreover, i did not have a proper dinner last night. Ok... We took about one hour plus to finish the route..

At around 11 something, we went to OUG to have our breaskfast or i should call it branch. Had Har Mee(Prawn Mee) there. Then, we proceed to jason's place to swim. We wanted to swim yesterday but Li Shuang is afraid of the black people in the pool. So, we have to postpone the swimming activity today. After swimming, we went to have some food in Happen Garden (Wai Sek Kai). There is a tong sui stall there. I think most of Sri Petaling and Happy Garden residents knows about the stall too.

Even the celebrities like Britney Spears also lazy to do it.. LOL!! To me, it is normal for women to keep it. They are human beings too.. But sometimes, you will feel disgusting as well. This morning while doing damn web system task, i thought of logging into my monash portal to check mails.. Idiot, barger, after entering my username and password CORRECTLY, this message pops up "The username and/or password entered is incorrect or you do not have access to this system. Please try again." WTH!!! Does it means that i'm no longer a monash student???????? Arghhhhh..... Cannot check mail for my network class... Then, I emailed ITS about this problem, they replied that i need to go to the help desk to reset my password.. WTH... Means 2morow i only could do it coz i'm not going to campus today... Haihya... SO MA FAN...

Hmmmm.... I realise that my blog is just about my works in University.. Haizzz.... Now i'm in dilemma on whether i should major in Network or not.. Network is ain't easy as abc.. So many things need to remember.. I'm really really afraid i could not catch up...

Done Done Done

Finally one 'big' assignment is done.. This is the first time that i have an assignment which the due time is brought forward.. Normally, lecturers will only extend the due time.. Thanks to Australian lecturer who made a mistake cause to bring forward the due time.. Luckily, i managed to finish before the due time.. I would like to thank my friends who helped me a lot in completing this assignment. Without you, i could not finish it on time.

After this assignment, another assignment gonna get started.. This assignment gonna give me a really big headache.. Now, i only have around 2 weeks to complete the assignment. Moreover, i have not decide in my topic yet..

This is really a short post as i realize that it been quite some time i have not update this blog. I wanna have some rest now.. See ya in next post..

New Semester New Lifestyle

Time really flies.. Just a blink of an eye, week 1 of Semester two is over.. This semester is a really really crazy semester for me.. First of all, i'm taking two units which are Web Systems 1 and Web Systems 2 that required me to study on myself.. Lectures are not being conduct for these two units!! That means i need to study on myself every week... Moreover, the coordinator of these two units in Sunway Campus said that Web Systems 2 is not an easy unit.. I can see that because everyone in the tutorial class having difficulties to understand and complete the first task of the unit.

Secondly, Network Standards and Specifications. This unit is like another boom for me. It looks like the previous unit(Network Administration) that i took last semester. I can predict that this unit is going to be quite difficult. There is also a project that we need to do like the previous unit.

Thirdly, IT Project Management. This unit is a bit weird because there is accounts that we need to study. Damnn.. I hate accounting.. Besides that, there is a lot of calculations that we need to do.. Moreover, we need to start to group our Assignment 2 aledi!! My Gosh!! This is like only week 1!!

Lastly, I hope i could cope with all these units as the semester goes. Finally, i wish all the best to my friends in their semester 2..

Quater Day Trip

Here is the little story about the quater day trip.

4 July 2008

4pm
After fetching my sisters to tuition, then meet up at Keat Ming's house. While on the way to Keat Ming's house, nick called me that her sister took his front door key that cause him unable to drive his car out from his porch. Nick, for whatever sake, go to make another set of key la.. So, waited at Keat Ming's house until 4.30pm. Called jason to drive his cars. After that, we meet up at in front of Li Shuang's house and waited for the pretty princess for about 5 minutes. Finally, we begun our journey to 1 Utama that took more than half an hour.

6pm
Reach 1U.... Look for parking.. After that head to GSC to collect our tickets. The show starts at 7pm but most of us are hungry at this time. So, look for food. When nick saw A&W, he just said "OMG, A&W". Then we just went to A&W to have our light dinner there.

7pm
Went into cinema. Show begin at about 7.15pm. Handcock movie was okok only. Not really funny compared to Iron Man and Get Smart. The movie is about 1 hour 15 minutes.

9pm
Movie ended. Some of us are hungry now. Went to Sushi Zanmai but the queue is so long. So, jason suggested to go to Setapak to have Fried Hokkien Mee but his little baby wants to go home. So, ended up, me, chin kwok, Li Shuang, Keat Ming and Nick went by ourselves. However, when we got out from 1U. One of us suggested to go SS2. So, we go to SS2 instead of Setapak.

10pm
Reach SS2. Round around the shops for 2 round then only manage to park the car. Li Shuang suggested to go to a restaurant named Murni. She claimed that the food there is nice. So, park the car and we walk to the restaurant. Reach there, i was so shocked. The restaurant was packed with "hungry ghosts". The tables that they placed more 'geng' that Steven's Corner in OUG. The restaurant looks like mamak but it is not mamak. Their main dish is western food. The drinks there is unique and nice.

It's been a while i have not updated my blog. Currently, i'm enjoying my holidays which only left about a week. This holiday full with online games.

Thanks to Nick and Jason, I'm addicted to this game.

Besides playing games, i also went lepak at mamak stalls, shopping centres. There is only two movies that i could manage to watch which are Get Smart and The Incredible Hulk. However, later going to watch Handcock.. Someone said that this movie is funny.. Gonna find it out later.

Nothing else to write... Back to game..

This is the 1st vacation after my exam ---> Bukit Tinggi. At first, it sounds very boring when suggested to go to Bukit Tinggi. What can we do there? There is only a street of shops and stalls in the French Village and Japanese Tea House at the hill. Some of us said Genting is more fun. However, when the time struck at 1.30 pm on Saturday (21.June.2008) everyone gather in front of Keat Ming's house to depart to our so call 'boring' destination Bukit Tinggi. While on the way there, we stop by at one of the McDonalds along MRR2 at Taman Melati to have our lunch. It took about an hour for us to reach Bukit Tinggi.

At about 3 pm, we reach there. However, our room is not ready yet (such a bad service). While waiting for the room, all of us lepak around the club house. The club house look so empty and it is not well maintained. There is a bowling Centre in there. At around 3.30pm, we drove to our apartment which situated not far from the club house. In the apartment, there is only 2 rooms equiped with queen size bed. OMG!!, how are 9 of us going to sleep??? Luckily i brought my 'air mattress' there. Time pass really slow there. Actually, we plan to have a bicycle ride there but there isn't any bicycle that is available for rental. In order to pass time, we played UNO cards. Li Shuang suggest that let the 1st winner of the game to come up some punishment for the loser. Haha.., Lucky me, i'm the 1st winner of the game. As the winner, i have to power to decide what is the punishment going to to be. I decided that the loser shall mop the floor since the floor is very dusty. Finally, the two loser goes to Li Shuang and Nick.. Haha.. After playing cards, we went to Colmar Tropicale/ French Village for a walk. Since it is already 6 something, we do not need to pay any entrance fees. Nothing much at the street. We just went there for some photos and sightseeing. Stayed there around 1 hour plus and we head back to our apartment to start BBQ. Joo Yao and Chee Phin start the fire which took almost half and hour. Li Shuang could not stand her hunger anymore and she cook some food with the pan which is available in the apartment. Day 1 ends with playing cards at the middle the night.

Here comes day 2. The 1st person to wake up is Chin Kwok. He claims that he did not sleep for the whole night as he drank a cup of coffee last night. In the morning, Joo Yao, Chin Kwok and i cleaned up the BBQ stuff before everyone wakes up. At around 9am, our chef, Li Shuang woke up and prepare breakfast for us. She cooked the left over from last night BBQ.

At 12pm, it is time for us to check out. After checking out, we went to rabbit farm. The last time i came here, there are a lot of food being sold at the rabbit farm. But, now there is only Nasi Lemak available there. Since there is nothing to eat at the rabbit farm, we went to Colmar Tropicale to have our lunch. After lunch, we went to Japanese Tea House and Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden look so dead. There flowers are ain't beautiful as Cameron Highlands. It looks like not being maintained.

Before heading back to KL, we went to the club house to play table tennis and bowling. For the 1st time in my life, i manage to win Nick in bowling. Wahahaha..

At around 4.30pm, we started our journey back to KL. Our trip ended up with jam and heavy rain at MRR2. Reach home around 6pm. Looking forward for the next trip.. Where can we go? Penang? Malacca? PD? Anywhere? I have done editing the video. I can't upload here because the file is too large. I'll burn into a dvd and let you all watch. I'll also try to upload in OMG group in facebook.

Site Visit

Such a long time i have not updated my blog because i'm busy for my final exam. Today, my family and i went to visit the new housing development just a stone throw from my current house. Dad thought of buying a house there since my current house was damaged by the Putrajaya Highway.. Thanks to our late Works Minister.. The new house is very nice and spacious but the price could cause a bomb. However, you could not get a unit there if you have the $$$. This is because only selected registered customers could only buy those houses there. SWT.. This is the first time i hear such a weird way to buy a house.

3 more days to DOOM day AND SICK!!

Its only 3 days left to my doom day!! Until today, i could not remember a single thing that i have read for the past few days. Sob sob sob..

Studying when you are sick is really suffering. Why i could fall sick during exam period?!! Last semester also the same..

Last Saturday, i went to the clinic to see doctor because i really could not TAHAN with the pain in my head and throat. SO, i went to the clinic around 9 something in the night. DAMN!! Waited there almost for an hour.. AND the doctor is a bit weird.. Always laugh laugh laugh.. I dunno what's wrong with the doctor.. Maybe study too much could become siao lang..

Finally, all my assignments for semester one 2008 is over.. Yeah!!!! but the sad thing is next week is exam week.. Can't really enjoy the freedom.. Hate university life in Monash.. The whole semester is only about assignments and exams.. Well, forget about this for now...

All the cyber cafes in SS15 have been closed down including the FTZ, the largest cyber cafe in town which situated in Asia Cafe, Subang Jaya. What a shock!! No more CS in Asia from now on.. sob.. The CC there is great because it has nice monitors, mouse and keyboards. Well, it is a good thing also as teenagers and gamers do not need to spend so much money on playing games in CC..

The other thing that i wanna talk about is American Idol season 7.. Congrats to David Cook who has been crowned as the American Idol Season 7.. Although David Archuleta does not get the title, but, he won a brand new Ford Hybrid car!! He could get to drive such a nice car at the age of 17.. so jealous.. Both of them are good singers. Unlike our Malaysian Idols, one could only know how to scream and the other one always sings out of tune.

Today is really a bad day for me. First of all is about my network admin project. After all the hard work that my group member and i have put in, all of them gone after Leong's laptop can't boot on yesterday night. Thanks to Ubuntu's latest update.. then my laptop also has some problem after i updated by the operating system.. Now, we have to start from scratch to do all the work again!! AND we have to present our work on this coming Wednesday!! i wonder we could finish by that day.. Seriously, i have no mood to continue this project anymore.. Moreover, there are still other assignments that i barely touch except for programming assignment. All of them are going to due next week.. Next week will be a gg week for me.. Thank god SAD assignment 1b result is quite okay.. At least there is something for me to cheer me up.. BACK TO ASSIGNMENT NOW.. actually i'm not really free to update my blog. Since Nicholas complain so much, i try to post this little post..

New MP3 Player for free!!

I'm so lucky this week as i won a Sony MP3 player from Hong Leong Bank contest. Every week they only choose 3 lucky winners to bag for this prize. I'm the one of the luck person of the week to win this player.. hahaha.. The MP3 player is only 2GB large. However, i don't care about this as long as i could get it for free.. haha.. The contest is a bit weird. They named the contest as Kiap Kiap. It is about 'kiap' the flies which are flying around in the background with chopstick. So stupid.. Nvm.. I tried to play during my free time.. This is the MP3 player that i won.

Long time no update

It's been more than a month i did not touch my blog.. Thats long.. Actually the purpose i develop this blog is for studies. But, i don't need it anymore. Now, this blog will talk about the story of my life.

There are many things happen last whole month. It will take lots of time if i want to talk about it. So many people celebrated their
birthday in the past month. They include my mum, Chin Kwok, Mei Mei and Chei Lin. I also went a few places with my friends.. Here are some of th pictures..

The view on this hill is great. You could see beautiful scenery of Kuala Lumpur City from this hill.

It took long time to upload photos here. So, i can't upload too many photos here. There are a few cafes and restaurant situated on top of the hill. The food there isn't that delicious. There is not a single street light available on the road that leading up to this hill.. Damn!! That is dangerous!! However, there are a lot people went there in the night especially weekend. The restaurants there are packed with people.

As for my studies, it is already mid semester.. Time really really flies!! I feel like the semester just started last week. There are so so so many work to do this semester. All the assignment in this semester is not easy. So, cannot play play. There are two group assignment to do. Network assignment is the hardest. This is because i don't understand what is the lecturer talking about. Moreover, this time Networking requires us to have the knowledge of using Linux operating system which i totally have no idea about it!! That is crazy!! Wonder could i pass this unit or not.. Yesterday i just realize that i have 4 BIG assignments DUE on week 12.. I'm so going to die on that week.

I think that's all for this time post.. Waiting till more interesting things happen so that i could update this blog..

All assignments are coming now.. busy busy busy.. This time, the assignments are very hard.. Need to lots lots of research and thinking.. Hmmm... wonder could pass the assignments or not.. Besides assignment, there is tutorial work to do. Especially e-business tutorial, do so many work only get 2%.. WTH!!!

New Semester Has BeguN...

Finally!! After 3 months ++ of holidays, semester one 2008 has begun. My timetable for this semester is really really
crazy. Most of my classes start in the afternoon. The worst is i've 6 HOURS of LECTURES in a ROW!! This is really CRAZY!!
My first class of the semester is FIT 2052 Electronic Business which starts at 12pm on 25 february 2008 (MONDAY). That day,
i reached UNI at around 11.40 am, this is the most difficult time to find a parking lot. After looking for about 5 minutes i think,
finally, manage to get one near the enterance. haha ;P Well, my timetable on monday is really crazy as the 6 hours of lectures
falls on that day. I've lectures from 12pm to 6pm on that day. During the middle of the second lecture which is FIT 2034 Computer
Programming 2, i'm starting to get sleepy. There are only 4 students in this class including me.. Haiz.. have to bare with this situation
for another 12 weeks (not including sem break).. The first day of UNI ends with FIT 2018 Network Admin at 6pm. Because this is Week 1,
there are no tutorial class nor labs on this week. So, i've tuesday, thursday and friday break.. HAHA.. On Wednesday, i've FIT 2001
Systems Analysis and Design lecture. This lecture is really a big lecture as there are many IT students enroll this unit. This is because
FIT 2001 is a common core unit for Faculty of Information and Technology. This unit is pretty interesting as we learn the ways to develop
a system. The most interesting part of this unit is we are required to write blog as it took up to 3% of the assessment marks.
This is why i'm starting to write blog. Hehe.. My classes for this week ends with FIT 2001 lecture. I think thats all for this post..
I'll update this blog when i've new story to share with you.. See you in the next post..
